Locally directed service-learning

Partners in Service is a program of Highland Support Project which partners academic institutions with Indigenous communities to explore and implement innovative, community-driven development. Our individually crafted travel seminars and service-learning programs allow academic institutions and their students the opportunity to increase their understanding of native perspectives while promoting transformational development models that increase the agency of indigenous communities through structures built by the communities themselves. We also offer long-term logistical support for academics studying subjects beneficial to indigenous advancement who wish to have their research actively informed and be informed by current community development.
